Worth noting that the core founder of this project (Brendan Randall-Myers) studied and performed under Glenn Branca, and even conducts the Glenn Branca Ensemble whenever they perform now. Incredible mind with a forward-set focus on incorporating Just Intonation and rhythmic/temporal complexity.

This year has been great for dissonant extreme metal. Ulcerate, Kvadrat, Convulsing, Ceremony of Silence and this Scarcity album have all been great!

The opening track for this album is one of the craziest starts to an album I've ever heard. Also fun fact: apparently one of the members of this band played in Sigur Ros. Which is even crazier.
