It was 1633 in Palermo, Italy. GiuliaTofana had just lost her mother and father. But what she gained was the knowledge to start her very own cosmetics line. Unfortunately, this makeup had a very dark twist to it. Over the next 20 years, her business would be extremely successful but the truth was, Guilia was a serial killer. She had killed over 600 men through their wives. The Renaissance Era was not easy for women, they were controlled, given no power and told to be quiet. This gave women a choice they had never had before but did that make murder okay?

I think if they really were murdering their husbands, I feel like it was justified for the time period. 😓 It was self preservation/ self defense. Women were often truly trapped in terrible situations.
