Analytical methods to assess population-level changes in nutrition-related inequalities
Показать описание
Robust analytic methods can be applied to DHS, MICS, LSMS and other national datasets to support decision-makers in understanding and addressing the nutrition situation in their context. In follow-up to Data for Nutrition's recent webinar, "Analytical methods to identify drivers of change in population-level nutrition outcomes: Multivariable decomposition approach': we revisit the work of the Exemplars in Global Health. Robert Black (JHSPH) will provide an overview of equity analyses approaches before presentations from Nadia Akseer (JHSPH) and Fernando Wehrmeister (Univ. Pelotas). The session will discuss analyses used in the Exemplars' Peru case study and will focus on explaining the methods for assessing growth faltering and nutrition-related inequalities and how they can be applied by others. Then, Fernando Wehrmeister will discuss how wealth quintiles/deciles and absolute income methods were applied to support nutrition decision-makers in low- and middle-income countries. Q&A session moderated by Robert Black will follow presentations.
