Ferrari 296 GTB // Incredible Performance, Flawed Design

I've never seen an uglier car than the 296 GTB... but does the driving make up for the heinous looks?

I unexpectedly ran into this car and was surprisingly shocked of how good looking it was: very low to the ground and very wide. It looks so much better in real life. The GTS version would be mandatory IMO. I honestly did not expect it's to be that nice. It's a modern Dino, the baby of the family....

PJ I've always found your videos to be entertaining, and I get "it" that you love to trash Ferrari...but the "poor people" joke was in such bad taste that I'm shocked you said it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on cars/watchs/houses/food...you name it. I've got a 296 on order and I can't wait to get it. Your opinion won't alter how I feel about the car. But in that same vein, that everyone is entitled to their opinion, you referring to anyone as poor people was sad.

I agree 100%. I got the 458, which is in my opinion one of the prettiest Ferraris ever made (488 pista I like the most)

Wow!! finally i saw someone doesn't talk bullshit! You Are Right Sir! That's exactly what i said to the Ferrari showroom Manager in Dubai when i went to collect my new F8 Spider, As an Architect/Designer, i can tell you from a design point of view, its The Worst!! It has a very tight Interior compared to the previous versions, The soulless complicated steering buttons, The useless Narrow roof opening in the GTS, The Silly corvette rear lights and the Camry front, I believe Camry is more aggressive! No Ferrari Lines, No Ferrari Character, No Identity! a very Shy/Weak Design! Regards, YAMAN

Dont know what this guy is talking about. I thought this was the best looking Ferrari to come out in a long time since Pininfarina and many others think the same too. Probably a better car than the SF90 not just in terms of performance but also looks. The driving characteristics are great because of the rwd configuration.

Great review PJ and fun roast. I've had 296 gtb for 2 weeks now. In my opinion the car looks great but with different colors. Mine is traditional rosso corsa (boring I know) but I enjoy the look. I enjoy the 165 hp electric only mode and all in qualifying+race mode the best.

I agree. I put a $25k deposit 2 years ago for delivery of this year. When I went and saw the car in person at the reveal last year, I didn’t like it. So no 296 for me

296 GTB pays homage to the 250 LM (which explains the weird design), so do you think that car is ugly as well? I am just curious, but I agree with your opinion on SF90 looking better than the 296 GTB.

I love your perspective when it comes Quality and Value but you’ve surely fallen off of your Rocker if you think that the current models on offer from Mclaren are
Prettier than the 296 GTB. The 296 GTS is even more attractive.

Italian and ferrari fan obviously here. You must be blind man... Its one of the most beautiful modern ferraris and the proportions are top notch if you consider the main inspiration was the 250LM and the dino. But i doubt you even know what a 250 lm is. 😂 This is actually one of the first ferraris in modern years that finally reminds somehow a Pininfarina styling even if its not one. Less is more in this case. Give the designer of this car a rise lmao not fire him 😂. This car in person is as beautiful as a 250LM, and i saw them both. I guess you are more the kind of guy who would like a mansory spec car.

It's not ugly like a Roma but it could have looked better. The back is the worst part, where they completely did away with the classic rounded tail lights of the F8 and 812.
