In this episode of "The Deep End," I sit down with political strategist Justin Giboney and Atlanta city council member Cory Ruth to discuss the upcoming presidential election. We unpack why it’s crucial for Christians to get involved in the voting process and explore the real challenges we face as faith-based voters. We touch on tough topics like abortion, the January 6th incident, candidate character, and how polarized our political conversations have become.

So if you're ready for a real, honest discussion that pushes beyond the surface, let’s go to the Deep End!

I call BS on the numbers. I live in Philly. A lot of us do well. But not 82%. The pay gap between race alone would disqualify this statement.

I appreciate the conversation but it was very surface level. This is not a typical Democrat vs Republican election year. This is much more biblical and spiritual and you need discernment in this hour. Pray and choose wisely for the spiritual health of this nation🇺🇸

College degrees are great, but what percentage of us are actually being hired after graduation?… and how much are we paid on average in comparison? Compare those numbers. We have to stop simplifying things like this.

We need our democracy in tact even if I'm doing good in my life.

That is why we can’t not believe everything we watch .

If you are educated, you have a business, you have kids and you have ‘values’ then you may still not want a leader with unethical business practices, with no regard for truth, who believes it is okay to bully people and punish people who express opinions different from theirs, and who models divisive disrespect to most groups of people like women, veterans, immigrants, differently abled, etc. #charactermatters

If our ancestors had been so narrow minded, so myopic, he would not be sitting there pontificating on economics as if freedom, democracy, the Dept of Education and others, at least 50, 000 federal jobs and full police immunity is not on the ballot - among other VERY destructive things. Too many have lost their way. Thankfully, most have not.

There absolutely is a wrong answer in this presidential election! What are you talking about?

82% sounds inaccurate but the sentiment rings true.

Democracy is on this ticket. Vote for the leader who will ensure progress and a continued democratic system of givernment.💙

There IS a right or wrong answer. What a small minded response about V P Kamala. If you are a union worker, which are the jobs that have moved a lot of black families into that middle class. Trump only says in words that he supports them, not in deed. Also, it always matters who the president is. You have an antiquated view of the democratic party.

I googled the wealth percentage and it says Black households have 4 to 5 percent of wealth.

And if Democracy falls and Project 2025 is inactive we will be right back where we started from (on the back of the bus or worse on the plantation)! They want two classes Ultra Rich and Poor!

Y'all ready think it's going to be the same if he becomes president. We didn't learn the first time and here we go again.

I’m so sick of the black and white narrative is unreal. Thank God I’ve always had a diverse group of friends my entire life to escape this rhetoric. Just over it I’m sorry !

I cannot continue having these conversations like Trumps not whacked out of his mind. Republicans rejected EVERY good candidate they had. Pence, De Santis, Haley....the list goes on. 2028 we can consider voting republican. Now Kamala is the option no mater who what or where you are in life.

Just googled it and it said 47% he is misinformed and anyone who knows what it takes to become middleclass knows he’s lying
