Whole Wheat Pinwheel Samosa In Air Fryer

Cook time : 13 -15 mins

Part 1- Dough
Ingredients
2 cups Whole wheat flour
¼ cup ghee (clarified butter) or oil ( Vegan option)
½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1 tsp salt
½ cup ice cold water plus minus few spoons depending on the flour
Method
In a bowl add whole wheat flour, salt and ajwain, mix.
Next add ghee/oil and rub it well in the flour.
When you hold the flour together it should bind.
Add water in batches and knead to make a soft yet firm dough.
Cover it with damp cloth and keep it aside for 20 to 30 mins.

Part 2- Potato Filling
3 medium sized boiled potatoes crumbled or grated
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp amchur (dry mango ) powder
3/4 tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp jeera (cumin) powder
Salt to taste
Method
In a bowl grate the potatoes, add all the spices and salt.
Mix to combine everything together.

Part 3- Preparing Pinwheel Samosa
Method
Divide the dough into 3 equal portions.
Take 1 ball and roll it to medium thickness.
Spread a layer of the filling evenly on the rolled dough.
Start rolling slowly from one end to make a cylinder, close both ends.
Roll more so that the cylinder doesn't open on any side.
Cut into equal portions.
Press in between palms.
Line them in an air fryer and brush samosa with ghee or oil.
Air fry at 325 deg F ( 165 deg C ) for 8 mins.
Flip and brush oil or ghee and air fry for another 5 mins at 350 deg F ( 180 deg C) or until golden brown.

Note:
Air frying time might depend on the air fryer.
