Selling Coins on eBay is RESTRICTED! Only for Large Bullion Dealers Now!

So if I want to sell a silver or gold coin on eBay I am now not allowed. eBay has implemented it's new Managed Payment system and has restricted many categories including coins and paper money. WHAT? Your thoughts please in the comments!

I guess I have been lucky so far. If I get a choice, I will ask for a pause in moving my store over, like Mr. Vegiita did. See his video. Ultimately, I have to believe they will re-open this category. Fees paid by big bullion dealers are very very small (special deal!), so they will lose a fortune if they do not re-open this category to us. Maybe Amazon is an option if you want to pay double fees.

You'll find an alternative market. Ebay is the big bully on the street. I sold and traded on there for ten years. One year they said "LIST FOR FREE". I jumped on the opportunity and listed everything I had. Several weeks later they send a bill for listing fees...I complained, and they ignored me...threatened me with a collection agency if I didn't pay. I suppose they're still looking for me...

I just watched a video of yours from 6 years ago and it still has the same intro. Looks like it is going strong!

Surely they will come up with a solution to selling gold and silver on ebay before they lose the money from the enterprise sellers. I could actually see them doing something like amazon, and gating the category maybe. I don't use mercari yet, but could it be sold on there maybe? If all else fails, you could tie a string around it and call it a silver eagle necklace! Thanks for the video!

Coins, coin flips, albums, snap tites, anything in the coin category

And ebay wonders why it struggles at times, "Here lets give away another HUGE chunk of the market because that make perfect sense for a struggling company in an already competitive business!" I guess keeping all that profit and just vetting your sellers a bit more is asking to much but who am i to say! TFS

Today is August 22nd, I just started selling coins a couple of weeks ago and I have not been forced into managed payments - still using paypal

Ebay use to take 10% from the selling + the selling fee and paypal takes 3% of the selling so total is 13% from your selling + the fee selling, now with ebay they make is very little lower cos they going to take 12 % something + fee so its not big change plus if u get paid with ebay u have to wait days to get the money in yr bank account!

Great video Todd! I would say try Mercari, could be a great alternative

Is it perhaps because the items on the list are scams, fakes or illegal to ship interstate? On the adult stuff, and wine they can't control them from getting into kids hands? At least with APMEX they know their buyers will get good stuff. Just a little devil's advocate.
