Paradise Fears - Intro, Battle Scars, Reprise (Story Behind the Song)

We decided that, because we get so many questions as to what our songs are about, it would make sense to do a little series explaining each song, the lyric, the meaning behind it for us personally, what we hope people will take from it, and some stories from the writing and recording of it!

Battle scars always makes me cry to me its such a powerful song to me i didnt stop i marched on when times got tough but where i am now because of that lyric is somewhere i thought id never be!! Love your music guys!!

I told Sam about my history of cutting and how when I get urges I listen to their music instead and it helps me stay strong when I dont think I can. So I just feel like this song is SO personal. Because he (and the whole band) is/are such caring people that we feel like we can open up and trust them. Along with the fact that this song is just freaking amazing (: I believe they will always stay this nice and caring too. (: thanks PF! I love you!3(:

I feel like they have already gotten big. Knowing the band when they were promoting to people in line at other band's concerts to now touring with some of the biggest names in music, they have not changed and I personally believe they will stay the same <3

We should be happy if they become successful. If they're successful, (1) there's a better possibility of having a new album since they earned a lot of money, they'll make more songs. (2) you can hear it more on the radio because more people will request it (and yes, I think it's better to hear your favorite songs on the radio than on the iPod, idk, maybe it's just me), and (3) the more the merrier. They make music to inspire people. How can they inspire if their music is limited to just "us". :)

i dont, well kinda, i am happy where they are, once they get big, and yes they will get big, they wont be the same, they will change like every other band, but as of right now i am happy with them and where they are!
