So is it fair to assume that Wellbutrin would amplify or extend the effect of adderall?

My husband acts high and has lost weight on this combo .. we're recovering addicts and no he didn't relapse it's truly the meds. We have even looked at cancers etc and had scan after scan to make sure it's not something like that. Just stopping in to see what y'all say.

What about SNP in COMT gene which causes ~4x faster catecholamines degradation than normal rate? Would taking Welbutrin and/or Adderal (Ritalin) or the combo help? I have that mutation and taking Welbutrin improved my life incredible.

As a pharmacy student, the first half of this video is COMPLETELY INVALID and WRONG. Focalin is NOT an amphetamine, it is in the methylphenidate class of stimulants (specifically dexmethylphenidate). It is similar to Wellbutrin in that they both prevent the reuptake of both norepinephrine and dopamine. The effect of dopamine and norepinephrine is mainly prevalent in the striatum and meso-limbic system. From my knowledge, methylphenidate stimulants do not release more dopamine/norepinephrine into the synaptic cleft the way that amphetamines do. I think the reason this question was asked was due to the 2 medications both being considered NDRI’s, which leads to the question why the 2 medications would be prescribed together.
