The color of your skin and size of your bank account can determine how climate change and pollution affect you.

On this week's #DearWorldLive, activist Vanessa Nakate and filmmaker Ian Daniel join us to discuss environmental racism and how we can achieve climate justice:

Don’t Settle for a Divided World. Think. Debate. Act. Let’s find solutions to the world's most pressing problems.

Doha Debates examines the world's most pressing challenges through live debates, digital videos, a TV series, blogs and podcasts. This innovative approach includes Majlis-style conversations designed to bridge differences, build consensus and identify solutions to urgent global issues.

Every EU politician should be obliged to watch these debates and take the information into account (in Bulgaria political figures boycott their responsibilities and never take actual data into account. The work of the politician on the fringes on the EU have to be assessed all the time by inspectors from the core of Europe, where policies are actually followed and not boycotted while the society is mislead with fake information from Turkish and Russian sources, instead of reliable western scientists statistics and investigations on the problems). What I see is escaping responsibility by all political figures and by senior citizens in the country I live in. How and why should Greta thunberg age people and young people who still don't have property, careers and secure livelihoods, move change forward??? This us obscene and her words should be heard already and not be ignored by people with the most filthy selfish interests. "How dare you?!"

I'm appalled. (I'm 31, by the way. I feel my life is stolen from me since young age, exactly because if corruption practices in Bulgaria after the fall of the Soviet dictatorship regime in this region. The region hasn't still recovered emotionally and economically. Moreso, the imperialism of the Russian governance of today, is causing global harm, with funding for wars and schemes for hacker attacks on western resources, such as banking systems, information, nuclear weapons, etc). This needs to be stopped! Half of Europe us still under Soviet dictatorship, facilitated by turkey. We need help to be able to provide assistance in the resolutions of global crises currently. The truths have to be brought out and concrete countries and individuals held accountable. No generalization can solve problems by now. Why noone holds Russia and turkey accountable? France is trying to lead a battle with the Turks but they rely on Russia so much they act as though they are invincible. Central Europe has to unite in the desires for a development direction, and with that automatically exclude certain players from the equation . Turkey is holding a position of separatism for decades. Leave them on their own with a cold war towards them, to see how the world us changed if these terrorists are being banned from the other world's movement towards economic stability and sustainable progress as a result of the division line set by the covid crisis .

I think the approach might be misguided in that you have to provide a direct link between what falls within the exact definition of capitalism (the free exchange of goods and services), and the exact definition of racism (prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people -on the basis- of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.).

I think that there are valid comments regarding how the environment requires care and attention, but this type of thinking desires a logical basis. Likewise, if we want to do better for people who experience true racism, I don't think we should trivialize what racism or environmentalism is by conflating coincidences from a position of victimhood. There are real concerns, but I think many of them come from governmental interference, cronyism and expropriation. Even there, it is difficult to tie racially discriminatory connections to environmental degradation without a hypothetical mind-reading machine.
