Hundreds of people gathered to pay tribute to Corey Comperatore, the 50-year-old father killed while shielding his family during the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. NBC News' Shaquille Brewster reports from outside the procession with the latest on the services.

This whole event shook me up and I'm so sad for the family who lost their loving and heroic father and for the other people still hospitalized. I was on the fence before but now I'm standing with Trump. He is willing to go to the mat for this country, who else can say that. Prayers for the families. Once a witness saw shooter climbing upon roof, Trump should have been prevented from taking the stage. Without Trump on stage, shooter could have been taken out and Corey and injured would be ok. Very sad. Let Gods Word be true and every man a liar. Yes, even in tragedy, God is there. His ways ate not our ways.
