Work individuals who can demonstrate work or training may be granted a residence permit. Work is a requirement to be able to qualify for the Chancenbleiberecht.

Thanks for sharing. When traveling to my home country with this resident permit, do the Auslanderbehöde put a sticker in my passport or i just take the resident permit and my passport so that will not have problems when coming back?

Hello Phoebe, thanks for sharing. I wanted to ask, what about people who have been in Germany for 5 years after the 31st October 2022? For example if you've arrived in Germany in 10.2019 it will be five years in 10.2024, so does that mean you will never be allowed to apply for Chancen-Aufenthalt, or does it mean you have to wait until 10.2024 to apply? And how can you prove that you've continually stayed in Germany?

I hope you will be able to understand and answer my question, thank you very much.
