Religion is Satan's distraction from a relationship with our Lord, Savior, and Friend Jesus Christ. Religion is man's attempt to reach God. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God's attempt to reach man. True Christians are denominationally separated by one main reason....pride. Our fallen sinful nature has divided us. Accept Christ's forgiveness for your sins, pray, and read God's Word everyday. Just want to point out that the terms “high church” and “low church” traditionally are not meant as a way of expressing good and bad. As I understand it, these terms were applied in the Church of England and corresponded to churches that had lots of ritual and ceremony (high) and those that with less ceremony (low). High church services more closely resemble a Catholic service.

Our church WAS united methodist. However, when they went against scripture and bylaws we had to pay $26, 000 to leave or lose our church. We didn't feel conformable going with the others who broke off because we didn't like how they had the bylaws stated. It was pretty ambiguous. Therefore, when we ledt we just kept the name that has been the same since it began in the 1700s and so we became non denomational.
