I find it a little odd that they removed the "Foundation fucked up and immoral" theme from the video, because the channel seems to go for a similar angle with Detective Void being all "The shadow government is looking for me".

I suppose they just removed it because "Shadow government is evil because they wanna put things away in boxes" is more easier to comprehend and kid friendly than "Shadow government is evil because they are willing to do immoral stuff just for an extra step over their competition".

The point of this was: they removed their SCP content that came out before the extended Detective Void media because if Detective Void made his first appearance with SCP (which he did) then he should fall under the creative commons license for the SCP franchise (as well as all of said extended Detective Void media). They are trying to burn the evidence of Detective Void rightfully being an SCP character by deleting all of their old videos (luckily they weren't able to burn all the evidence).

Moral of the story if you are trying to create a character that only your content farm can use don't introduce them using a creative commons franchise. The creators of Detective Void have less collective brain power than a dimwitted Sea Sponge.

It’s interesting how a fair amount of articles on the wiki are conscious of the Foundation's position as a kind of militaristic/authoritarian institution which deserves scrutiny and warrants interpretations as "the bad guys", and content farms want to adapt those stories cuz they're well-written and engaging, but the Foundation's antagonism is incompatible with their aesthetic of a Cool & Epic Foundation Researcher OC explaining the whole thing in an upbeat voice. I think a part of the liberties taken with the plot is genuinely brand management
