In a recording studio on the South Side of Chicago in the late 1920s, blues legend Ma Rainey gathers her band to cut a record. But as tensions run high between the musicians and Ma's agent and producer, a young and eager trumpet player threatens to lead the session to a catastrophic conclusion. Full of humor and insight steeped in classic blues music, this powerful play from Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright August Wilson builds to a stunning crescendo that will leave you breathless. Contains adult language and themes.

Here after watching the trailer for the new movie due in December I wanted to get an early look at the play version that came out years ago rest in peace Chadwick and I know you're going to do a wonderful job and viola own this role
