So assimilate means that the wielder of a Darkin weapon gets consumed by the weapon itself. Only champions are strong enough to resist it and gets power out of it instead. What a cool way to use gameplay to communicate the thematic aesthetic of these Darkin weapons. I'm super impressed!

This is so incredibly well designed (balance-wise, remains to be seen :D). These three points in particular:

- the Darkin concept is well-fleshed out by Assimilate, matching perfectly with the lore (and is a really cool way of reconceptualising the existing cards themselves, and how they can be used)
- his champion spell having 3 levels to it is the same as his Q spell in League
- he is clearly designed to END the game, which is very fitting as the world ender

Serious props to the designers on this!
