I personally choose my own numbers. The only downside to it is if I ever miss a draw or stop playing and my numbers come up, I will never forgive myself

I did a study over multiple draws in which I played a static set of numbers and a quick pick side by side. I didn't win big on either one but the quick picks actually did better matching numbers and getting winners than the static set of numbers did. I did this with Powerball, MegaMillions, and Louisiana Lotto. No big winners but on average, quick picks did match more numbers and were more likely to match the MegaBall and Powerball on each drawing. Not sure if this means anything, but it is what I found.

Just depends on the person. Not only do people win with both, but it also depends on if the universe has given you certain numbers or to buy a QP right place right time. Lump sum for the win 💚

I prefer the quick pick as well due to the winning #s are just so random. Interesting though that he prefers the cash option over the annuity. I'd be leaning towards the annuity from the lottery just because you lose so much up front when choosing the cash option. I'd be fine with the annuity from the lottery as I'd still invest some annually anyway as those large payouts trickle in.

Hi Tim. I do both - When I dream numbers I play them, otherwise I do quickpicks. I also received a set of lucky numbers from my FIL who passed away 3 yrs ago. I play those when inclined.

I love these interviews!
Although I like to select my own numbers, I also take the option for an additional quick pick on the slip.
I'd definitely take the lump sum and invest the majority in bonds, real estate and other investments that will grow my money for years to come.
