Praying for the family. What a wonderful Dad rushing to his daughter's aid, that's what awesome Dads do, being there for their children no matter what the situation is. I'm truly sorry for the daughter's loss and the families. May God bless and comfort each of you.

39! So young. 😔 R.I.P to this Father who lost his life. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. That's what any good parent would do for their babies! He proved his ultimate love for his daughter, without a doubt. Bless you hero dad! 😭🙏

I hope this young lady is surrounded by love. This is such a tragedy and at this young age nothing makes sense. Kids need their dad. Sending love.

As a Cali native please don’t go in the ocean 🌊 unless I are a strong STRONG SWIMMER if u get stuck in a current don’t panic and go with the current parallel to the beach

He did what he could to try to save his daughter so i hold nothing against him or his actions. But i would say never swim these waters without lifegaurds on duty along witth other swimmers who may be a help. northern US beaches really from the carolina's on up are well known for having strong rip tides. Here in Puerto rico, i hear of drownings just about every 4 months because people underestimate the water, and over estimate their abilities. And surely never look at the locals especially kids as a guide to the dangers there in, the locals grew up on such waters and well know what to do.

i remember i was around 4 years old when i clumsily jumped into the pool out of curiosity. good thing my dad was near me and rescued me out of the pool. this was a deep end pool that was about 8 ft! my dad jumped in with all his clothes on and everyone watching!!! my dad saved me!!

Why do people tempt fate like this when no lifeguards are on duty? Just wait till the season kicks in and guards are on duty and the water is warmer, etc. Then again I never
liked swimming at a beach much, feels unsafe anyway. I'd rather swim in a good Olympic size pool or whatever with tons of guards on duty. I used to be a pretty good swimmer
but I wouldn't even think of tempting fate like this.
