What makes Mark King so special is, ,

Not only does he play some incredibly complex bass lines, but to sing at the same time I just out of this World.

This is what puts him on another page from most other bassists out there.

Total respect to the legend he really is.
🙏👏👏👏

Mark’s slapping and singing is incredible, however I give credit to Mike as well as his singing is great and the keyboard sounds are spot on. ✌️😙

What I am mostly amazed at is how he can thump out that bassline and still be able to sing so well. That's talent alone.

Helluva performance! Mark King is a bass monster! The band was tighter than a stretched rubber band! 😊👊🇨🇦

I'll never stop being a fan of Level 42. Brilliant band regardless of the line-up changes over the years. And to the uninitiated, you'll know a lot more Level 42 songs than you think.

Brilliance, Dignity, Courage and a willingness to help a charitable cause, despite the fact he probably felt dreadful.
Rest In Peace Alan.

One of my favourite bands from the decade...for obvious reasons.
So many amazing groups came of of the UK in the 80's.

No tatoos, no fluorescent hair, just rock stars in nice suits...like it seems they have nothing to prove to anybody or themselves like today's "musicians" need!

Moving to see Alan Murphy playing guitar here. Such a fantastically talented guitarist, so sad that his life was cut so short.

This song will NEVER GET OLD! I was extremely lucky to have parents with amazing music to taste since I'm an 89 born gal who has been jamming to this song since I was born (there is evidence of 3 year old Me surprising my parents by singing this song despite my first language is Spanish 😆) This is one of my All time favorite songs ❤️🥰
