I was on the sideline for this!! I was a young true Freshman linebacker for App State, never played a down on the field but I was able to dress out and travel to the big house and be on the sideline. We had 1-2 injuries to older, more experienced linebackers during practices in the days leading up to the game so they dressed out 2 younger backers and brought them up to Ann Arbour. Craziest day of my life, will def never forget it. Played for App state for 2 years before transferring to another school before my Junior year. I’ll never forget those 2 years in Boone!!

I have zero connection to Michigan or App State. Just a huge college football fan. And to this day that is probably my favorite radio call ever. Those guys were going absolutely bonkers in the booth.

11 years to this day, Appalachian State didn't care how good Michigan was as the #5 ranked team in 2007, they just outplayed them.

How many batteries did it take to beat Michigan? 1-AA

This was the first time in history a top-5 FBS team fell out of the AP poll entirely as a result of a single game. Loved it.

I currently am a student at App state. This video gives me chills everytime I watch it. Its great to see how far our football program has come. Thank you Jerry Moore for building one of the best programs in the country.

Here after Texas A&M. So so amazing to see App State hasn't lost that magic. College Football isn't college football without games like that.

This game pretty much set the tone for the whole season. I see 2007 as the season of upsets

My first college football game I ever went to my uncle is a app state grad so we went only living 45 minuets from the big house. After app state went down in the 4th my uncle wanted to leave to beat traffic but I begged him to stay. We stayed and the rest was history. As a 12 year old I was just so excited to see history made. Every year when they replay these moments I get goosebumps. A great game and one of the coolest things I’ve ever witnessed!

I remember watching this game with my grandpa and I got so ecstatic after seeing the blocked field goal I ran around the house yelling in joy

I was there in the crowd that day. The disbelief of the Michigan fans was remarkable. As a Michigan State alum I couldn’t have been happier.

I know it had no impact on the outcome, but let's take a minute to appreciate the hustle on the part of Michigan's kicker who, after his kick was blocked, managed to run down the App. St. player and prevent the TD. Again, not that it mattered, but what a show of hustle and pride.
