In my experience. The B&W PI8 sounds twice as good as the AZ80S. The sound of the PI8 is truly unmatched. Listening to music on the PI8 is special. They filled a hole in my heart that I didn't know I had. Super wide sound stage every voice and instrument is distinguishable. The PI8 are in a league of their own. The best listening experience in a pair of earbuds, in my opinion.

DeVialet has the best audiophile and "loudest" sound (sounds just as good as low volume) head and shoulders above my AZ-80 but phone calls are pretty bad.

Great work here man! I currently have the Momentum 4 and the AZ80's and I am trying to decide which one to send back. Based on sound alone I am leaning towards the AZ80s. It just seems like they do indeed have a wider soundstage and better separation. I am using them on dynamic EQ. I seem to remember that was your favorite as well? This chart really helped me just now. I was going to actually send them both back and get the PI8s... but this helped me to see that I am already on the right track! Thanks again.

I still have the B&W px7 over ear and the sound quality has matured during the years. Thinking of switching to in ear, is there a risk of disappointment in terms of losing sound quality ?

Hey dude great work as always. Can I ask did you notice any improvement in sound quality when using the case transmission? I have the PX8 over ear headphones and these sounded markedly better when hooked up to iPhone by USB C, just wondering is it a similar story here. Liked the sound of the PX8 so much I would def consider these. But have the Technics AZ80 already and I think your gonna tell me to stick with those 🤔

Did they get rid of that stupid option where you HAD to go through the app to turn on passthrough? For the Pi7 S2, you'd have to turn passthrough off of you wanted to have actual noise cancelling. It was a mind boggling design choice.

Is the app easy to connect to, or does it still take multiple attempts to connect to the app?

Solid review feĺla as always. I still think the M4 are the best buds for 299+, ill keep my Nothing Ear 2024 as my daily driver though and be extremely pleased about the choice.
