I wish you kept the weapon upgrades and bonecharms from your first play through, new game plus is supposed to just be a fun power fantasy, you're not supposed to have to worry about stuff like upgrading and buying stuff. At least that's how I see it, they seem to agree somewhat what with giving you both Corvo and Emily's powersets, but it's a shame they didn't go all the way with it. Obviously you still need to get stuff like keys and other quest items because that's just a part of the game but otherwise all the busywork you've already done should be bypassed. For players that want the full experience again they can just start a fresh save file, everyone's happy. It just feels like kind of a half measure, like they're trying to keep one foot in each camp and therefor not really fulfilling what either side is supposed to do.

Good coverage! Here's some extra tips:
if you played as emily in your run, play the NG+ as corvo and vice versa. That way you can carry over bonecharm powers like extra shadowwalk time that corvo won't get otherwise.
Also when you're spending your runes, make sure that you keep a one rune upgrade open like blink kick in case you end up having one rune left that you can't spend anymore cuz all the powers are too expensive.

Holy shit, it actually is better that i didn't get this at release^^ Now i get the full Dishonored experience with Dsh2 with NG+ and Dsh1 plus all DLCs :)

So breakdown every bonecharm into whalebone, spend all the whalebone to craft new ruins, and then spend all those ruins, plus whatever you had leftover….. then in your new game plus get all the crafting powers right away; as you collect more bonecharms, break them down because you already have the traits, it will give you every trait, and you can make 4 stacked bonecharms with you favorite traits like “earn health during dark vision” stack it 4 times in a bonecharm and you will basically refill your health whenever you use dark vision, plus stack the “bolts sometimes don’t break” 4 times and 80% of your bolts you can pick back up, and choke enemies out faster x 4, drinking from fountain regains mana x4,

So does that mean it is best to sacrifice every single bone charm before going into NG+? Also does it mean we should sacrifice all the bone charms in order to get their traits before going into NG+? One last question, does NG+ allow you to complete a second playthrough and go into the game a 3rd time while keeping all the spent runes from the first 2 games one plays [is it possible to max out all the powers]?

so in this case, NG+ is what make the rune crafting viable, since you can keep the skills not the bone charm

I've beaten the game 4 times and it wont show up on the main menu. I played on easy so maybe I'll need to up the difficulty level. I cant find any way to troubleshoot this issue. Any ideas?

i may have missinterperated this. but it seems that you can mix and match Corvo and emily powers in new game +. like bth have accese to all powers. any one can confirm this?

Ok, so I did what was necessary to prepare for new game plus TWICE. The only thing that I got was additional runes. I dismantled the bonecharms and had several 4 trait crafted bonecharms, and all of it is gone. I can't even go back to a previous save where I had them. I'm very upset. Did it screw me over?

so that means im going to have to load one of my saved game files and turn all my bone charms into traits so they can carry over. so much work😥

hey it looks like i'm about 6 years late to this vid, im replaying the whole dishonored series but I've got a question. I took your advice about loading my last save, sacrificing all my bonecharms, crafting runes and spending them, but I already started my ng+ save, and now when I load it, those runes aren't carrying over. Do I have to start ng+ over again for them to carry over?
