I think the question about burnout is very different in T1. In ascension, teams will do anything to qualify and on top of that, there are so many teams that they can't possibly anti-strat everyone. Then also the season would take ages if they did. In ascension, it's all about what team can adapt the quickest, and teams don't anti-strat each other. If we instead look at T1 because there are international events some teams can just have a long break to learn and anti-strat the better teams while the better teams have no chance to do that. In T1 anti-strating is a big part of the game and is why T1 is so entertaining in the first place.
