This was the only thing I remembered about Godzilla 2000.

I remember being a kid watching this with my Dad in the theater and for whatever reason (Mandela effect) I remember Godzilla and Katagiri staring each other down and right after Katagiri shouts Godzilla's name, Godzilla punches Katagiri through the building instead of clawing at it and making him fall to his death. Just Godzilla slam dunking a grown man through fifty levels of concrete.
In my defense, I was 8 years old when I saw this.

Godzilla gave Katagiri a chance to be humble and reconsider his opinion of him. Once Katagiri proved to remain arrogant and still dangerous, Godzilla killed what he now considered a definite enemy.
