Hezbollah Explosions: 'It's More Of A Terrorist Act Than War Crime' Former Ambassador of Lebanon

Al Arabiya English's Rosanna Lockwood hosts Global News Today, who was joined by the Former Ambassador of Lebanon to the Kingdom of Jordan who resigned following the Beirut Port Explosion, Tracy Chamoun, for an exclusive interview reacting to this weeks attacks from Israel targeting Hezbollah pagers, walkie-talkies and electronics in explosions that has injured thousands and killed at least 30.

Tracy tells Rosanna that she feels these attacks are more akin to a terrorist act than a war crime, referencing the pre-meditation of it and the lack of care to the safety of civilians across Lebanon who were caught in these explosions.

I think the injuries from the pagers etc were terrible and nothing to celebrate. Still this Ambassador doesn’t seem to grasp that all Lebanon has to do is leave Israel alone. Each stay their side of the border and let the other live. Sadly, actors within it won’t do that and this is tragic for both sides.

Very biased not connected to reality miss ambassador. They have zero power on hezbollah which is controlled by Iran and they blame Israel and Gaza instead of taking action.
The second Lebanon loss by hezbollah was sealed by a resolution that hezbollah will pull its troop beyond litani river, by they never did it, and instead, like rats in Gaza they tried to dig tunnels to Israel.
And another point to miss ambassador, if you are a threat to my people you will suffer the buffer zone cost. No one in Israel wants anything from Lebanese people, just to push the Iranian proxy from our border.

I think it meets the criteria for both terrorism and a war crime. Our invasions of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afganistan were all war crimes. Any honest American soldier from general on down will admit this. America is an empire. We've been an empire since the Monroe Doctribe, if not before. Empires are not polite. They take as much as they can for as long as they can until the money runs out. Look at the former western empires since Rome. They overspend on offense (not defense) then revert back into nations to be replaced by another alpha nation who becomes the next empire. USSR aspired to empire, went bankrupt, and is now a dying nation, despite Putin's aspirations. We're now bankrupting our empire and will eventually be a backwater, as is Britain, France, and Spain, all former empires.
