Larrivée 44 Series Acoustics Demo

A few months ago I went into a shop looking for a new Martin. They had just gotten some Larrivees in, including a 000-44r. I had never played a Larrivee before. After playing a bunch of guitars I left with the Larrivee. Plays and sounds absolutely incredible.

I matched this 00044 and D05 with Martin D42. All in same ball park of sound.

Nice guitars. I once owned a lovely OM50 but needed a shorter scale. It's a pity they only seem to have the parlor with anything other than 25.5 scale. Prefer the sound of the OM here.

larrivee don't get nearly enough youtube time. i have an OMO3 zebrano, very nice guitar. very. i have ten guitars at the moment and i like to joke that my 66 gibson j45 looks like a glue bomb went off inside, the quality is appalling, compared to the larrivee which is impeccable, the gibson top is all over the place, but the larrivee somehow has remained flat. and the build is actually erotic i think, such smooth curves and precise fit - the bridge pins fit perfectly, they won't fall out, but they are easy to pull out even if you press them hard in. the sound is (almost) as good as any of the other guitars i've kept from the 50-60 i've had since 2013. i have a demo or two on my own channel.

i have to say my larrivee isn't the best of the guitars i have, but i have two friends who own them and my pal with the rosewood back/sides (i forget the model) is the sweetest sounding guitar i ever heard, imho. i've had three larrivees and my only negative is the LO3 had a neck profile that didn't suit me, but the neck profiles vary. they are highly recommended guitars.

I believe the tripple 0 guitar has the shorter scale. That is precisely what differentiates it from an OM style guitar.
