The inspiration behind this video:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who will star in Sony Pictures' Kraven the Hunter, sees his villain as Spider-Man's number one rival. Sony's Spider-Man Universe is going forward as the studio continues to bring in more villains from Peter Parker's comics rogues gallery. While the web-slinger has yet to appear in the MCU-disconnected universe, Sony is reimagining some of Spider-Man's greatest enemies as its film's leading anti-heroes. The franchise began with Venom, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, while 2022 saw the most recent entry in the critically-panned Morbius, with Jared Leto in the lead role.

While audiences wait on news of a potential Spider-Man 4 with the MCU's web-slinger, Tom Holland, 2023 will see a number of new films join the wider Sony Spider-Man franchise. One of them is Kraven the Hunter, starring Taylor-Johnson as the titular anti-hero. After having portrayed Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Taylor-Johnson is currently shooting his own Marvel character-focused film, bringing Sergei Kravinoff into the world of live-action for the first time in a project directed by J. C. Chandor.
