⁠me and my sister were absolutely buzzing to get these from Father Christmas one year, maybe 97 or 98. when they turned up they were absolutely shite! 😂

My brother had that dark-colored model with magenta ears, and I had the blue one with silver ears.
I always thought the bit at 0:22 was funny with the Poo-chis singing "B-I-N-G-O" in perfect synchronization. They couldn't do that in real life; if one began singing Beethoven's "Ode to Joy, " another would start singing it a second after the first one starts, but it'd still be cute.

Seeing this makes me glad I hung onto my grey one with red ears all these years, I was about 4 playing with these I had several but still lucky to have one left, the winder is jammed and no longer lights up because it sat in storage so long but what can I say it's over 20 years old lol

i just bought a poo-chi yesterday, he's in the mail right now and i'm so excited!! i collected the mcdonalds poo-chi toys when i was a kid, and 20 years later i finally get to have my own real poo-chi!

Ahh I remember these! My sister had the blue Poochie robo-dog from the smaller robo dog range. Though we shared it & I think one of my friends had the pink one. Another friend of my sister's had Texta the other iconic robot dog toy sold around the same time. Plus I also recall Super Poochie robo dogs and cat (Meow-chi), bird (Chirp-chi) and mouse robo-pets done by the same company. Furthermore, at one point McDonald's sold mini versions of the aforementioned Poochie, Meow-chi, Chirp-chi and added on other animals, a fish and a flower. 


I believe I recall seeing in a Mizz, Bliss or Smash Hits magazine in 2000 (when those toys were everywhere) they was a section of the magazine that had some well-known singers doing wholesome & goofy yet humourous poses with the robo-pets e.g. Britney Spears high-fiving both a purple Poochie robo-dog & a pink Super Poochie robo-dog, while Charlotte Church was holding 2 Meow-chi robo cats and had a Chirp-chi on her shoulder.

this was one of my favorite toys as a kid. i recently foudn him in all my old stuff and have him out on my desk now. hes missing his ears, tail, and bone, though. i have the red one with the purple sparkle ears(if he stilll had them)
