1 Tsp Nutmeg
1 Tsp Mixed essence
6 Tbs sugar

8 Tbs sugar

What is mixed essence? Is it like a Vanilla extract?
How difficult was it to remove from that ridged aluminum tin? Did you have to cut and score it first to remove it? I would have liked to see, how you did that, for all my visual learners.

Looks fabulous Ash! I will try making my sister made cassava cake this weekend and she added grated carrots and it was delicious and she used frozen grated yuca / cassava in a pack which is easily available here... it was really good! I will try your recepie soon, , , , thanks

Only the bitter cassava root is pioson eaten raw, the sweet cassava is ok, so no need to extract the milk from the grated sweet cassava
