You will also learn how to create a Dashboard and add Power BI Dashboard inside PowerApps. You will also learn how to add Barcode Scanner and the PowerApps Search Function, Filter Function & combine both. These functions are useful to allow users to search through all items in your data source and/or filter your data. We will build a search box, look at delegation (working with large data sources e.g. SharePoint Lists) & understand why Search function may not return all items with SharePoint as a data source. We will explore delegable functions like StartsWith & look at a technique of performing search against a filtered (delegable) result set.

Thank you for this great tutorial! I have been struggling with how to accomplish this for 3 years while trying to use excel and sharing it with workers. It hasn't been great as they constantly edit fields or delete rows of data by accident. I am going to try to build this today with a modification of creating and linking a repair log to the inventory list.

First of all: Thank you for that content. I really like your explanations.

Are you going to make more videos for Microsoft PowerApps?
Can you explain how to use DropDown fields and how to add new Items to the DropDown list?

I would love it :D

This is a great video. I would like to add a tool for users requesting new assets and the items being added to a list for ordering and tracking. I have a list created of items to select from but can’t figure out how to have them select items to request (i.e. like adding to a shopping cart). Do you have any videos like this?

Thanks this was helpful. I want to create a similar app using QR scanning for checking out equipment that goes out on loan and then check back in. Would I need to create a separate screen and button for scanning equipment back in or could I use the same button for check out and in?

Thank you for the detailed and informative video. Question, how would you use this app on a mobile device to input the info whilst in the field and relay info to PC/Cloud ? What platform would be used on the android device? Do you have a video detailing same?

Good day, I am so happy to find you here, this is what i am actually looking for, how to create a log in page for each of our Teachers in the Agency. My next goal is to be able to create a sort of a table wherein each teacher can see the benefits that are being credited to her bank account, it should be able to show the date when the benefit was credited, what specific benefit it was and the amount of benefit, basically it should look like a payment history where a particular teacher will be able to view all of her benefits in a tabular format with the most recent being on top of the list whenever he or she logs in. Thank you so much, i hope to hear from you very very soon,

This is great and explains exactly what I need to do! I'm just wondering, is there a way to scan a barcode of an existing item in the inventory list, then it bring up the details of that item? For example a find item button by using the scan function? :D

This video has been really useful for me. Do you think you could make a video with this app but using powerapp charts for the dashboard instead? I am having trouble implementing them

thanks for really good learning with powerapps and barcode scanner. I have a question. is it possible to make so that the scanner fills information in several fields at once. example. scans an item to be placed in room 1, cabinet 2, shelf 3. then it data in 3 different fields.

Thank you for the very helpfull content. The only point that I want your support to solve it is : when I edit a record the Serial Number is set to blank and we loose the last value. I'll appreciate you share the solution. Thank you

Hey bro, Thanks for the content- really appreciate your efforts.
need to create an inventory management for different stores like one store has some 200 items . is it possible to group all the items for a store in a group (under a store name- list of items, next group- next set of items). is this something that is achievable by sharepoint list?
