I will step you through how to repair your S-Class fiberglass fish tape in this video. Putting a new eyelet or leader on the fish tape is actually pretty easy. Once in awhile you may break off the end of the fish tape and repairing it is the way to go.

These break so rarely that I found this video to be very helpful for putting my fish tape back together. Breaking an eyelet off is easy fix but if one breaks the other end its time to replace the entire flexible wire end. That’s the aspect that I tend not to remember as I only use the kit once every 5 yrs or so after abusing the hell out of the fish tape. Update: I call bs on 5/16” for the strip length for the leader crimp. Even with 4 90 deg crimps, this will not hold the tape in the whole with adhesive. I just ruined one leader.

Hey Ron, I recently got a new LED lamp for more reptile tank. It seems to cause some RF interference with my cable line which is very close to my splitter. Would putting a coaxial terminator cap on my splitter help stop the interference. Sorry to post about it in this video, didn’t know how to contact you. Keep up the good work

Will the glue hold it even pulling wire?

The outer nylon of my tape is really stuck to the inner core and I can’t remove just the outer nylon at all using a number 10. The inner core keeps breaking. Any suggestions??

My fiberglass fish tape only lasted 5 months; it broke twice already. I use it a lot pulling fiber wire since these dumb tecks don’t leave pull string when they’re supossed to do so. Better buy the 4 year waranty.
