We took a trip to the Devils Punchbowl and talked about the deep dark history of it's past. This happened well before the one famous for occurring in Germany during the time of Adolf Hitler.

We was out there today... And it was an eerie feeling being by the Mississippi River is a eerie feeling hearing about the Rhythm nightclub fire eerie feeling. We had "history 101 class" In these last couple of days as we visit Mississippi and Louisiana. We stood at the very place where slaves were together as a family, before they was separated to be sold. 😢💔 Sometimes you don't even have words to describe what's going on in your heart and in your mind. When you hear what our ancestors had to endure.

Yeah, man I'm from Natchez born and raised. It's very hurtful but that's a big reason why as blacks we most stick together, be strong and stop killing each, learn how to resolve problems.

Great video ! If it isn’t already it needs to be recognized as a historical landmark. All those innocent lives should not be forgotten.

blk guy here born and raised in natchez.. field trips in the early 80's to the plantation homes and the natchez trace.. i was raised close to punch bowl.. elders would never speak about what happened but would just say stay from down there... no lie people on some nice clear nights you can hear souls cry out from the bowl.. i believe in spirits, i know what i've heard there on many of hunting trips in the bowl.. me and some friends would hunt down in the punch bowl.... we was never told about this in school...

Also, there are peach trees at the bottom of the punch bowl from the time of concentration camp. They also put people there that had the plauge. Some more about that place is:
Pirates hid out there and waited for boats to pass to capture the goods. They would also stand almost where you all were and throw their victims off the cliff and count till they hit the bottom, mainly for bets. I've went metal detecting there a few times in the bottom and found a good bit of civil war relics like cannon balls, bullets, pieces of rifles. It's an eerie place for sure..

And those are only over 20, 000 of our ancestors who died in this one concentration camp. Imagine how many of our ancestors died in slavery, and how many died being transported on ships.

Used to drive by the Punch Bowl when I lived on Pine Ridge road. It was an eerie place even in the daytime.

I grew up in Natchez and never learned about this in school🤬🤬🤬. In the early 80s they would take us to plantations for field trips. I was just excited to leave school for a day and didn't realize the history behind those big houses, b/c they never taught us the TRUTH.

I was born and raised in Natchez. As children we were all told am airplane crashed in the punch bowl. That was the reason it was so large and that it is so deep the bodies of the dead could not be removed. When I got old enough I hit it across the mississippi bridge and never looked back.
