It's not possible (ie, extremely unlikely) to send the money to the wrong account by making a typo, as there is ample redundancy built into any string of numbers or digits to do with anything finance. If you do make a typo (or two or more) the number will simply be rejected and the transaction won't proceed. So no need to be paranoid about checking the number (though it's definitely a good idea to do so to save you time).

I cannot seem to edit my comment so I am making a new one. An analogy is international phone numbers. We store the full international code, even for numbers within our own country. Then we never have to think about where we are when calling. International phone numbers are the IBAN of telecoms.

I don't have a bank account, or an activated one at least, i'm in Spain and tbh idk if having the bank account will be bad later, since i work online and i hate Spanish taxes, they are abusive and not competitive at all... and you know that "center of interest" criteria the state uses to tell me if they are gonna force me to pay taxes here, well, does somebody know if the bank account would be of weight in that case? The issue also is that the crypto exchange i was using like a bank or trying to do so has gotten into spanish regulation... so yeah they won't be private anymore...
