I never tire of seeing new JWST images, thanks to the folks who put colours to the data

As a compilation, I wish the redundant information, that was said many times, over and over again, each time the same but slightly altered wording, was removed in editing.

It’s exciting to watch a video from just before the JWST was launched and relive that expectant feeling. Alex does a great job sharing the wonder of the final frontier.

Ah, a compilation, I was confused why it was future tense for a few scenes.

Love that humans are prioritizing learning and discovery in a world with so much ignorance and hate its truly a wonder we have this.

Another great Vid Alex,
I love listening to your voice as you expound information usually hard to
It's always a lovely moment when your explanation suddenly rings a bell, and I understand.
What a wonderfull time we are living in to learn so much new stuff.
I was 9, when my school stopped and we were all silent, listening to the radio, piped into all the classrooms.
We were all silent, which was an even more a historical 1st.
And now at 64, we are seeing almost the birth of everything.
Thank you for always taking us on these wonderful journeys

The photons reaching us from the earliest moments of the universe have experienced almost NO time! As far as they know, they smash into our detecters almost as soon as they were made.

Still mind boggling how much stuff is out there. The quality of JWST pictures are insane. Makes me wonder what other things future telescopes will help us find.

I remember watching this launch live on Christmas morning years ago. I was so nervous about the possibility of a failure! It thankfully has been a wonderful success and has provided us some of the most amazing images!

I actually cried when this finally took off I was so happy. I checked up on it every day and followed the full unfolding process and when we got the first couple pictures back i was so happy. It's really a miracle that this thing made it and was fully operational. It went through so so so many hard ships and finally its floating out fully unfolded and operational around 1.5 million miles away. It had close to 350 potential single points of failure. 5 layers of extremely thin heat shields the size of a tennis court when unfolded and none of the layers can touch. Absolutely mind blowing...

I’m so thankful I live in a world where I can see these beautiful images while children starve and people get denied healthcare or kicked out of hospitals for not having insurance.

Or how about the collateral damage and death of innocent lives in war?

I’m just glad I got to see a picture of a black hole and haven’t gotten to see global hunger end.

I love it!

The phrase “our models are wrong” makes me surprisingly giddy at the prospect of having brand new things to be learned. 😊

How long was Hubble due to run? Its been running for at least 3 times its projected lifespan already and beautiful reflection of how much more than a designed lifespan a tool can be used for

We may not be able to travel back in time, but we can WATCH things happening at the beginning of time! If we had a mirror far enough away, we could watch our planet being formed.

We NEED to make the trip to extend the JWST life. It would be foolish, negligent not to.

People starving and they buy a telescope 🙄

And this channel justifies it😂😂😂😂

As I was growing up, I was introduced to star trek. I always assumed the term light years was only in regards to distance 1 light year equaled 1 year of travel. However, your video about how jwst found a dot that is 13.1 billion light years away and how the universe is only .7 light years older then that red dot, my brain exploded that it also equates to time. So not just distance = ? but distance/time = ?. Thank you for teaching an old chook a new understanding.
