Many other countries have the word "Arab" in their name, not just Saudi and the UAE. For example: "Arab Republic of Egypt" and "Syrian Arab Republic"

even if the origin of the word Arab is dweller of the desert (and im no sure of it) that is not the reason north Africa is an Arab region. Arabs are an ethnic group originally from the Arabian peninsula that spoke Arabic, a Semitic language. After the unification of the Arabs under Islam and Muhammad (who unified the Arabian peninsula as one Muslim Caliphate) several caliphates followed that expanded the empire across north Africa to Spain, the Levant, Persia, central Asia and parts of India. with the empire also came the use of the Arab language and the spread of the Semitic Arab ethnicity. so no north Africans are not Arab because they live in the desert, they are Arab cuz they speak Arabic and are (at least in part, there was a large amount of racial mixing) part of the Arab ethnicity. also keep in mind that not all the Muslim world is ethnically Arab, Persians are a different ethnicity with completely different origin, same with the Turks and across north Africa there are also Berber peoples. most migration of ethnically Arabs and colonization (not just political conquest) happened in north Africa and southern Spain.

There were united Arab states: the Rashidun, Ummayad and Abbasid Caliphates

0:42 Actually, the Arabian peninsula is “Shibih Jazirat Al Arab” meaning Arabian peninsula in Arabic. So arabs weren’t wrong this whole time.

Arabs -1
Rest of the world - 0

Arabia is basically the land of arabs from Morocco to oman but the term is mainly being used with the Arabian peninsula

And Somalia isn't an arab country they consider themselves Africans and arabic is only for religion in Somalia

The name of the UAE can also be translated as "The United Arabian Principalities". Imaaraat (transliterated as "Emirates") is plural of Imaara, which is a region ruled by an "Amiir". Amiir is often translated as "prince" which is not inaccurate given that the origin of "prince" meant something like "leader, commander, ruler, etc".

There's a district in Helsinki, Finland called "Arabia"

2:41 "arabha" is not a word in Hebrew. The Hebrew word for desert is מדבר-midbar.
You might have meant to say "Arava" (ערבה) which means grassland/savanna and is also the name of a tree that grows in the desert.

correction**
Jordan and Iraq are not considered from the peninsula

Also all the Arabic Nations shown in the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa (With the exception of Somalia, which I'm not entirely sure is considered Arabic) where all more or less part of the Islamic Caliphates (Sometimes referred to as the Arabian Empires due to being based in the Peninsula), in particular the Umayyad Caliphate encompassed most of them at some stage. This may also be why many of these nations chose to identify as Arabic despite not being located within the Peninsula.

IRAQ is not apart of Arabia, It's apart of the Fertile Crescent and Mesopotamia

Why are North African nations Arab you ask?
It's because the Arabs settled North Africa back during the Rashidun and Umayyad Caliphates.

a couple of things:
arab actually comes from the name of the grandfather of all arabs, a man named ya'arub bin qahtan.
arab is not actually a pure race of people except maybe in yemen but every other country is extremely mixed since the middle east is literally in the middle of three continents, there are millions of black arabs and millions of white arabs and every shade in between, so the single unifying factor for arabs is language. and that's why we say that morrocans and somalians and even some people in west iran are arabs. it's not islam because we have a lot of non muslims and also turkey and iran are muslims and they're definitely not arab.
also, next time color in palestine. even after years of mistreatment they still outnumber the jews in palestine. it's still definitely an arabic country.

At 2:42 you said that the Hebrew word for desert is "arabha", but the actual word is "arava", though most people will translate "desert" to "midbar"
"Arabha" sounds like an Arabic word

Correction, Algeria is not exactly an Arabic country, we speak Arabic and French but that doesn't necessarily make us Arabs or French.
North African are mostly Amazigh but due to the religion our ties with the Arabs are quite significant.
Thanks for the content.

Em... Desert in Hebrew isn't "Arabha". It's "Midbar". There is no Word in Hebrew such as "Arabha".

Egypt and Syria used to be united in the United Arab Republic. Egypt kept that name for a while even after the union was dissolved.
