Who ever designed the glossy part on the front of the edge, needs to be fired, then re-hired and immediately fired again.

where did you get the faceplate for the scuf? They don’t have it on their website

While the lack of 4 back buttons is a bummer, I've had 2 Scuf controllers, both of which died shortly after a year due to bad stick drift. Scuf use official Sony controllers that they modify, which means you get the same crappy stick modules. With the Edge allowing the modules to be swapped out, and Hall Effect modules currently in development, I'd take the Edge.

The Software for the edge is a huge selling point as well. Between the replacement sticks and the software, the edge is the best choice.

I have both controllers and tbh the edge just feels better … the scuf feels so cheap compared to the edge but I really love the mouse click on the scuf both are really good controllers but the facts you can change the stick module on the edge I feel like I have nothing to worry about

The module change is a massive consideration tho

Where did you get this faceplate? Scuf does not offer this one

How is the grip on the Sony? My hands sweat and I don’t like to use gamer grip. Don’t like the stock Sonys smooth plastic feel. Is it better on the edge?

The edge is really good. And probably best for most people.

However the reflex in my opinion is the winner when you are trying to get the most out of it and want those mouse click triggers.

The edge still has some play

Had a Scuf on my PS4, it failed pretty faced only giving me about a year of use. Now on the PS5 I’m looking at different controllers for Warzone. This video was very helpful. Edge it is.

If you’re a sweaty e-sports player (which 99% of you aren’t) then the SCUF is the better buy. However if you’re a casual player that plays a variety of games, but mostly shooters and you just want more of an edge then the Edge is the better buy. In my opinion 4 paddles is overkill and isn’t necessary for average play and while 4 hours of battery life SUCKS just get a longer USB cable so that you can play comfortably while plugged in. Also the ability to change the analog sticks adds longevity to the controller which offsets the battery life issue.

I'm in my 40s and grew up video games. I own a scuf. Unfortunately, my muscle memory makes it so difficult for me to use the back buttons. I don't always remember to use the backs and find myself using the regular buttons more often.

I feel like the back buttons on the dualsense edge should go both ways but only work with a down press

Can't help thinking the thunbsticks on the edge wont last as long so you have to keep buying new sticks.

Idk I got 3 years out of a scuf. Really trying to decide if I wanna buy a console and switch the PS5 controller base but course I want something with back buttons again. Infinity is a W just ordered my second one and beat the holy heck out of it on MW19/ WZ1 slide canceling and every game following. Kinda burnt on Cod’s bs though

SCUF wins with more paddles for competitive and the Grip for comfortability hands down

Dualsense edge over any other controller any day! You can swap out the analog if you have stick drift. Also, if the back paddles module goes bad you can also change with the eXtremeRate back paddle replacement module. Dont waste your money on a scuf. I've had my ps5 dualsense edge for over a year and it still works great.

Kind of weird you didn’t mention the grips on the SCUF controller compared to the dual sense. Comfort is pretty important.

SCUF suing Valve for having back buttons on the Steam Controller, has ensured that I will never give SCUF any money, which is a shame, because the DualSense with it's touchpad is perfect for the Steam Deck, and I'd like to have the extra paddles. So I'll just have to stick with my Xbox Elite controller, which costs way less anyways.
