Monseigneur asked the congregation to receive in their hand "if they can, " and he asks this because he does not want to infect others if his hand erroneously touches the tongue of the communicant.

Why is the priest even mentioning Queen Elizabeth at all, especially during the Eucharistic prayer???

The Church does provide for a separate Liturgy of the Word for children during Mass. The provision and associated guidelines are contained in the Directory for Masses with Children, which the Congregation for Divine Worship issued in 1973.

David, thanks for the video. I am living proof at 57 it IS possible to survive this nonsense. I grew up about 30 mi from Santa Monica in Los Angeles bordering Inglewood @St. Eugene's Parish with the hand-holding, clapping & parishioners encircling the altar at holy mass. There, a young Fr. Torgerson was the Assoc. Pastor; he has always been a 'story-teller'. As an altar boy I served 1000s of masses/weddings/funerals over the years, I also attended the catholic school associated w/ the parish, which was run by the now dead or dying order of religious, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. In the midst of this 'religious education' I was fortunate enough to sing with the Latin Choral Pueri Cantores of Southern California; we traveled throughout California and sang (Latin/Gregorian Chant) at mission churches for the TLM.

Another side-note on Msgr. Torgerson, he is one of the founders of the annual trainwreck LA ReligiousCongress held in Anaheim. The LA Archdiocese went off the rails when Cardinal Roger Mahoney stepped in. I was able to facilitate my escape through service in the US Navy, and on to Colorado w/ Bishop Chaput, then MI & now Fort Worth. With God ALL things are possible. Viva Cristo Rey!

Rather than being nourished by the Eucharist, they are fed and nourished by the Word of God while they await the day that they will be able to join us at the Table of the Lord. The participants leave with a RCIA team member to discuss the Mass readings for that Sunday and to experience more fully the impact of the Scriptures on their lives.

I just can't do this type of mass anymore. Just can't do it. I would have walked out. Yes, the cantor has a beautiful voice, but the music is so loud that, for me, it is intrusive.

Holy smokes! He says Holy Communion is not for the perfect.. What this lost priest DID NOT say is, The Holy Eucharist is for those ONLY in a state of grace..

The RCIA candidates always leave after the Liturgy of the Word. That's their time to go and learn. They can't participate in the Liturgy of the Eucharist yet.

Well...I won't receive Holy Communion in the hand. I would bet that if I approached to receive Holy Communion kneeing and on the tongue, he would tell me 'we don't do that here at the this Catholic community'. I have had that said more than once. I could go on and on about the liturgical abuse at parishes like these. I have been to them all. It makes me very sad for our Lord and his Church. His bride has been so defiled.

Oh my, did that Priest mislead that young man! All we have to do is love - without any explanation of what that means. How irresponsible!

How can you call this celebration a nightmare? They are praising God and accepting the eucharist. What is so wrong with fellowship? It is better than the boring and depressing music ministry I endured as a child. This may bring more back to the Church.

It’s just sad. A true Spiritual Father doesn’t do this. He probably doesn’t read scripture? Made says you can’t teach an old dog, new tricks. I told my dad, that is true, but he was created in Our Lords Image. Helping the people of 116 genders after the 2 our Lord started is not of this type. Hopefully The Deacon will talk to Father? I know that the religious of the 80’s that taught me, would interrupt the mass, and tell Father over to the side to, stop it. Get back to the true ways of The Holy Mass. Thanks for letting us know. Poor St. Monica, what a sad and offensive mass to our Lord offered by a disobedient, heretical and sacrilegious minister of Christ who encourages sacrilegious communions. This is what I try to make reparation for when I pray in front of the tabernacle/blessed sacrament. God have mercy on this priest and others like him. Amen. This is much more a Protestant service than a Catholic mass. It’s basically identical almost to a Lutheran service.

Why are there people sitting behind the altar? Nothing should be behind except the tabernacle.

Thanks for compiling this David! This parish may have many young Hollywood professionals there continuing to be malformed. I have a friend who is a parishioner here, young adult who is a writer. Make Hollywood holy again! The high altar looks pretty and may be an original that was spared of wreckovation! Keep fighting the good fight, chopping down the pagans who have infiltrated the Church, from the land of Saint Boniface! Ave Maria! God bless.
