When I was little I always believed that Leslie never died, that she was just caught in Terebithia due to the flood and was kidnapped by the evil thing, then there'd be a sequel where Jesse would save her from the wind chime palace where she was trapped, and she'd come back and they would rule Terebithia together...

I don’t know why but my body drenches itself on melancholy whenever I hear this version of the song.

One choice changes everything. If you watched the movie you will get what I mean.

I don't blame the kid for having a crush on his teacher. I would too if she looked like Zooey Deschanel.

I remember watching this when it came out, I was 7, and I read the book about 3 years later in school. I'm now 15 and watching this clip on YouTube, nostalgia really does chill you to the bones.

As a kid that had very little friends my entire childhood and that struggled a lot to connect to others, bridge to therabitia was very special for me as a movie i wanted someone to trust and love, i wanted a friend. I used to watch the movie on repeat. So the friendship of the two main kids was very important to me. I heard this song from my brothers room and it immediately made me cry. Now im 20 and i still feel the same sometimes, but im learning to be my own best friend.

I think zooey deschanel should be a teacher in her next life, she's played a teacher twice and always seems a natural

This has been my favorite book/movie/story since I first read it when I was nine and sobbed all night and thus fell asleep during my uncle and aunt's wedding the next day. Hehe. Miss Edmund was always the reason I wanted to become a music teacher. I'm on my second year of studying now, and though the teens I'm working with would rather play Justin Bieber and Coldplay, I plan to include "Why Can't We Be Friends?" and "Someday" in some my lessons. They need some good old songs too, you know :) Oooohyes, this is going to be so awesome.
