Mourners queue through the night to view Queen’s coffin

Thousands of people have lined up through the night at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.

The queues are estimated to stretch some two kilometres through the streets of Edinburgh, with many people waiting over five hours to see the late monarch.

The Queen’s coffin will remain at the cathedral until Tuesday afternoon local time.
