Google Being Sued by Former Employee Over Discrimination

"A former Black employee has filed a lawsuit against Google, accusing the tech giant of racial discrimination.

April Curley was hired to recruit more Black employees for Google. Curley says she was fired after she “vocally opposed and called for reform of the barriers and double standards Google imposed on Black employees and applicants,” Fortune reported.

In the lawsuit, filed Friday in a federal court in San Jose, California, Curley accuses Google of purposely pigeon-holing Black employees into lower-paying roles after interviewers “hazed” Black candidates and asked “level-inappropriate questions” to hurt hiring prospects."*

The worst thing for any black person who's seeking employment in any company is to be stigmatized by his or her boss unknowingly because this effect whether or not he or she would be treated fairly when it comes to raises and other benefits a company may offer

I heard about this 8 years ago, when I was seriously interested in working there.

I know Google's racist because I wrote them about their issues.. One of the main issues I found was, whenever I looked up a movie or a show that starred a black person meaning the show/movie was about was particularly that black person. Everybody that co-starred Yt/ or looked Yt shows up on the 1st row of the cast in either the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd spot on cast info. However the black main character is either the 3rd person listed or they are listed in the 2nd or 3rd row. 🤔 eg. cast of sweet magnolias the 3 main characters are Heather Headley (the lawyer), Brooke Elliott ( The restaurateur) and JoAnna Garcia Swisher( Newly divorced in single mom). Again these are the MAIN characters, however you would think the show is about Brooke, Joanna and Britney Spears little sister ( The married man's pregnant side chick) because their the 1st people listed. Heather Hedley is not mentioned until the 3rd row & mind you she is the one who is basically making everything happen in the show, but NO 1st row for her. This is the way it is with most movies/shows that star black people and have a yt cast besides them. But, they did get it fixed with the cast of Naomi. I wrote them about that also. It's the smallest thing but it still packs a LARGE punch!

I am an IOS Developer in Cali 1 mile form Google's Venice location. Let me tell you how the tech industry works. All the jr. entry level tech jobs (90%) that normally pay $70k a year are given to H1B visa foreign workers for $10k a year. So that is why it is so hard to start your career as a jr. dev because you get left overs or the company needs to hire more minority Americans so that its racism and unpatriotic greed stays under the radar. The company pays for the H1B worker's apartment and puts 2-3 of them in one apartment and then the company saves millions a year like that on payroll then send s them back home at the end of the 6mo-2yr contract where the American dollar is 60:1 of their countries currency. Now when you get to the mid & senior level tech jobs those are dominated by whites because that is when it starts being more tech management jobs. Thus at this level there are only 0.05% H1B visa carriers because that would be a danger to white control of those jobs. Blacks are 2% of these midlevel+ jobs. Thats whats really going on also. American Corporations ( the rulers of this country) are being greedy and are protecting the management jobs for the white Americans. But let's keep it real. They freed us to be seen and not heard, not to compete with them for their jobs . Even the most liberal of them wont give you a referral to where they work. Instead he'll call the principal at their child's school and ask do they have any janitorial positions available so that we can live a nice quiet existence of servitude and can only afford 1 child per black couple so that we become extinct after 4-5 generations. Until we stand up for ourselves, demand our reparations, invest in our own communities, and reestablish business and political ties to Africa (like they do with Europe) so as to create our own economic black bubble we are jacked. I should be making apps funded by Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Magic Johnson that tech black students about teach and investing and connects them to work for black companies around the world. That is is how it is done.

I mean, we know that in a lot of places, black folks have to be smarter, faster, and more level headed than their white counterparts.
