Can I please have "like" to show your love and support for my kitchen floor, which I will no longer film on ;(

I literally gasped out loud when you delivered the punchline. Mind blown! I'll be thinking about this in the shower for weeks.

Theists: One Kalam cosmological argument for all time, please!

RR: That will be your free will, thank you very much.

Kitchen Floor DEBUNKED
Rationality Rules DEBUNKED
Stephen Woodford DEBUNKED
It was not your choice, Stephen, I know, but by removing the kitchen floor tiles, you have set in motion events that will be your undoing.

"As a determinist myself, I say the choice is not yours" That was satisfying

Excellent video Stephen, short and to the point. I’d be so grateful if you were to make a discord server so fans of yours can discuss ideas presented in your videos and just have a space to talk about stuff of a philosophical nature.

Ahh the Kalam. My favorite theist argument. Horribly flawed, but relatively direct, unlike most apologetics.

I've been using this argument to refute the kalam argument for years. Glad to see it getting a platform! You do phenomenal work, keep it up :)

Somehow I think it is a mistake to believe theists care about contradictions.

Loving the responses so far - keep them coming please : )

Oh, this one's easy. The GREATEST cost of the Kalaam "argument" is the apologist's credibility.

I would guess that a religious objection to this might go something along the lines of:
The laws of cause and effect have only been shown to apply in the physical realm
Cause and effect does not apply in metaphysics (which is why God doesn't need a creator)
Thoughts and free will are based at least in part in metaphysics (as the free will the thoughts are made by is bestowed by God)
Therefore, the laws of cause and effect do not have to apply to thoughts
Therefore, Libertarian free will and the Kalam are compitable.

Tacky syllogism but maybe it gets the point across.

Loved that DarkMatter2525 god cameo! :D
Great vid, never thought of it this way and lots of theists believe both in cosmological argument and free will!

RATIONALITY RULES/MOLYNEUX DISCUSSION: Although I am not a keen follower of RR, and on the contrary I find Molyneux very enlightening, I thought you handled yourself and your ideas very impressively with Molyneux. You exposed all Molyneux's weak points and unpleasant side - especially his horrible bullying way of "wining" an argument and never admitting that he may have been wrong. Believe me, many of us see through this, and Stefan does not like it! His defence on your point of "begging the question" was patently pathetic, as you intimated. Of course he bullied you out of pressing the point as he is so talented at doing. That would be my only criticism of your performance: despite your admirable politeness and gentlemanliness, I think you should have gone harder with him - bullies need to be bullied back to gain their respect. Excellent work, and I just wanted you to know this from a keen Molyneux supporter. Thanks.

I love how well organized your videos are. The on-screen definitions of subtle words and clarity of concepts really set you above many other educational philosophers. Thank you for your great work.

A Valid Kalam Argument:
IF Everything that begins to exist has a cause of its existence.
AND IF The universe began to exist.
THEN The universe has a cause of its existence.

Can't wait to see how Cameron misrepresents you on this point lol. I think it would be helpful to put it this way.. either you are moved to act the way you do by causes out side of yourself... or you are the unmoved mover of your actions. Can't have it both ways

Steven, I need to digest What you’ve said for a bit but off hand I expect the theist will just counter with - My freewill was caused or given to me by god. Which is of course hogwash but they won’t mind.
