Been using my Reformer with a Powerstage 170 and my Helix for the past two years, easily the best and most flexible live sound I've ever had. Cab sim turned off going into the cab, send IRs to FoH, full sound on stage that any amp user is used to with all the benefits of digital. Get more complements on this rig than ever before.

Using a Kingsley pedal in front would probably be ideal.

I'd love to see.... hear on of these with a range of rigs.
Simple amp in a box pedals
Classic pre amps
Multi with a sim ETC

I use the power section of an old JC120 (you may well be horrified)to run my looper
Most of my tones are coming from pedals and some old rack pre amps then into modern delays and reverbs.
I still split to a valve amp but in reality the looper and JC sound pretty good.

Fantastic idea! I’m looking for something to pair with my iridium pedal and this looks ideal. Dumb question time: could it also be used as an extension cab, say with a Princeton, when not using the iridium? Or would that require two different solutions? Cheers.

Thanks for the video. How big would you say the difference is between a (good?) cab simulation through the FRFR and the actual cab? If the difference is negligible, the FRFR would be great for digital piano and synths too, right?

if you use a modeler and want to get great live sound sell it! use a real tube amp if you can or something like a friedman ir d so you still have a tube preamp. when using a modeler with a cab what are you gaining anyway?
