I feel the BMF belt should be put on illas shoulders too. Its not a valid belt at all if the holder gets knocked out but holds that belt still. BMF isnt linked with a weight class

Why is he trying to make it sound like this is a weight class belt?
There is a reason the BMF belt holder gets KOed in the next fight. It is a participation belt solely reserved for someone who is not the best in their division.

If the BMF goes from fight to fight, it'll end up in heavyweight and won't come back down. The real BMF is a heavyweight athlete. That said, Max's BMF title should automatically be on the line coming off the brutal loss to a World Champion.

BMF belt is only up to contention if stated prior to the fight. It’d be like two champs fighting and then winner gets both belts. Nah, only the one up to grabs changes hands. Topuria is NOT the BMF. Simple as that.

If Ilia really wants the BMF belt all he has to do is win consistently for five more years, and move up in weight and fight another proven winner in a second weight class. Until he does that he’s just being disrespectful. At the very least he’d need to fight Max at 155.

I think it should be a "special main event" type of belt that happens twice a year. A sort of catchweigt fight. Putting 2 top fighters that is a big draw at the moment, and who is on a good current role against each other.

And once you win it you dont defend it. It is simply a belt that you EARNED. Meaning that the fight will have to be an absolute killer fight... Judged separately from the actuall score judges.

So, you could win the fight, but maybe not win the belt if it was just some boring snooze thing.. Especially if it goes all 5 rounds (would have to be 5 rounds imo) and no significance violence was presence..

A stoppage is on the other hand something else. Since u could win in the very first seconds of the first round by KO och submission..

Maybe a 2x 10 minute rounds 👀
