The key to KB loom and Build a loom is to knit loosely. I had problems with German short row heels and flipping yarn on the wood loom until I learned to give slack.

The only knitting looms that I use are the flexee loom links, they come in four different gauges 5/8”, 3/8”, 1/2”, and the newest 1/4” if i want them rigid I just put an inner hoop that are for embroidery, would love for you to make a review on the flexee loom links.
