The alarm/stair fall is 100 percent that last step not being in the right spot. Stairs should never stick out from the stairwell ending like They even had to put 2 giant white stipes to try to avoid it because it wasn't designed properly... (the bottom 2 steps have white lines, the rest don't) Whoever is in charge of these stairs knows it was screwed up.
