ELEMENTAL MAGICK || All about the four elements in witchcraft and how to use them in spells

Air, Fire, Water, Earth. These are the elements that witches work with.
In this video I tell you all about the four elements in witchcraft. This is a video perfect for beginner witches and those who want to refresh their knowledge about the basics of magick.

I struggle with [time of day] correspondences and many other traditional correspondences for that matter. Air≈dusk, Fire≈noon, Water≈dawn, Earth≈midnight.

My modification:

Water/East/dawn [opposing>]
Fire/West/dusk

Air/North/noon [opposing>]
Earth/South/midnight

My color correspondences:

Water: All cool colors like blue, cyan, indigo [typical:blue]

Fire: All hot colors like red, orange, yellow, gold, and even magenta
[typical:red]

Air: All light pastel colors, white, silver, transparent
[typical:white]

Earth: All earth tones, black, grey, green
[typical:black]

My correspondences are based on a tree of life motif that I came up with. Imagine a tree that grows from the earth. To the left of the tree is the sun and to the right of the tree is rain. All these elements help the tree grow. Earth is below where the roots are. The sky(air) is above where the leaves are. The sun and rain are either to the left and right (and can be interchanged.) The whole motif can be rotated and flipped from left to right. It is also based on “opposing” forces (in my mind they are opposites anyway) fire opposes water. And earth (solidity) is opposite of air (non-solid.)

I put fire in the west because the setting sun seems to set the sky ablaze in that direction.

Water in the east because the Atlantic Ocean is directly east of my home.

I got creative when working on my candle holders for the 4 elements. I bought 4 masks 2 masculine and 2 feminine faces. I then painted each face in primary colors for each one. After that coat of paint dried I taped the Alchemical triangles for them. Then I did a "tree ring acrylic painting using varying shades of contrasting color . Then mounted them onto a piece of wood. I burn votive candles behind them during Ritual. The candle flame burning behind the masks and dancing around behind the eyes. Looks really cool.

This is very cool! I think East is like the dawning of our life where we seek wisdom and the pale yellow of the morning sky. I think West is like the cobalt space which limns the trees at dusk. I love how you suggested gold and silver.

This video is so informative and helpful thank you! Ever sense I was a child I have been connected to the elements it seems, mostly air. As I got older my attraction and connection became stronger. This is where it becomes almost unbelievable. I started talking to the elements I gave them names and they sometimes came to me in human forms. I could tell the element I was most attached to was air from the start. Now that I'm older I still speak with them but not as much so I have been wanting to get back into working and talking with them! Thank you so much for this video!

I use/learned the elements like you said and the correspondences of each is the same but I start by invoking earth then from there the east to south to west same correspondences. I invoke the elements and then invoke deity if I need and then do spell work, typically.

Aloha! I think there was a confusion with the Athame and the wand. As the wand is for air element and athame for fire . You can also add salt to the list for earth element. Happy to be here!
