Composing a study like this must be like writing a piece of music or a poem - you keep going over it and over it until all the rough edges are worn away and true beauty emerges.

How in the literal hell do people come up with these puzzles?? They work so beautifully and there are zero flaws somehow!

Was curious so I plugged this into current Stockfish. It took it >2 minutes on my 8-core computer realize this position wasn't draw-ish! I think it's incredible that we can get a crisp explanation in 14 minutes of a position that the strongest chess program spends over a trillion clock cycles to solve.

Your content has been super helpful and I've been studying more chess in my free time lately. Gone up 200 points from 1200-1400 in the past month! Thanks again for the insightful videos!

My chess skills have gotten rusty since I've started college, it's nice to have these super instructive videos. Keep up the great work!

When it is explained it looks simple, but I wouldn't have the first idea how to do any of this on my own.

I love endgame studies because it opens your mind to improve your calculation, the first moves i looked at was Bc7 Qg4 and Bxa5 im not an avid study solver i just look at every possiblity and danya does great with his explanations

So here is the tip, Look at every move possible even the "stupid" ones

Great analysis and easy to understand for beginners. Thank you for the help. Love the content!

Interesting fact: Stockfish (in lichess) finds the solution. But when I change the initial position with the black pawn in a4 instead of a5 (which leads to a forced checkmate in 12 instead of 13), Stockfish doesn't find the solution until I show it the move Bc7.

In that first puzzle I did not see Qc8 but I did identify in my calculation that the king would hide on h8, so glad I at least spotted that.

Great vid danya! Could you maybe do a video on how to analyze games to get most out of it? It would really help a ton because i hear every where that you should analyze games but nobody really says how to do it
