A big difference between her Wednesday and the past Wednesday is that the older versions of the family didn’t really understand that they weren’t normal, they just lived their lives a little differently and never thought twice about it. The new Wednesday is fully aware that she is very different and has been shown multiple times in the show being proud of it. Not hating, just an observation

The "get it off me" bit is so real, like you don't feel like you when something about your appearance or style is changed for a long time. I had to wear full PPE, fluro vests, helmet, big boots, completely covered and in uniform for a job I had pre-covid and I hated it!! I had major confidence issues and my mental health suffered because I wasn't dressing as myself. It really effected me. By the end of those 6 months I kind of forgot what I looked like and it took time to find my style again after the full heavy clothes smothered it.
