Fresno Nightcrawlers are an unusual and hilarious cryptid. This video will break down the sightings, reactions, and plausibility of such creatures

Curious Archive Social Media:

Our breakdown of Fresno Nightcrawlers begins with an unknown individual living in Fresno, California checking their backyard security camera and allegedly, discovering what looks like a pair of pants, just going for a stroll. The blurry video was the internet’s first glance at the unusual and frankly hilarious cryptid now known as the Fresno Nightcrawler.

As you can imagine, the sheer strangeness of these supposed cryptids has captured the imagination of many individuals on the internet. disproportionately long legs. Most portrayals of the creature created in reaction to the footage portray the being with two black eyes.

In the end, regardless of their true authenticity, Fresno Nightcrawlers can be real in our hearts. These little dudes might not look much like real organisms, or real in general, but they do look wonderful.

I really like this thing. It really freaked me out as a kid, but now, I like all the art and stuff that people have made about them. Just let them vibe

I like to imagine that they can’t get up after falling since that’s funnier

I just like to think the Fresno Nightcrawler’s are just a bunch of ghosts in sheets who found some jeans

A concept of a cryptid parent and child pairing makes the whole cryptid creature more believable, like a natural living creature behavior.

I live in Fresno it’s a shame that I’ve never seen any walking pants 👖

This was one of my favorite cryptids as a kid. It's a shame that people now just see Among Us. I was pretty creeped out the first time I saw it.

Funnily enough, the "ghost pants" theory would be taken fairly seriously in Japan given that the Tsukumogami, a type of youkai, is made from household objects that are used for over 100 years gaining sentience and moving around.

Had the Fresno Nightcrawler video originated in Japan, it would have been cited as a Tsukumogami sighting instead

My 7 year old daughter told me she saw white legs walking on the wall. I got chills because of fact that we live in the California central valley, the home of the night crawlers.

Habits of the North American Nightcrawler Mushroom:

They take strolls at night because they release spores that grow into mushrooms overnight. Eventually, the mushrooms sprout legs and go on their own midnight walks to repeat the cycle. The issue is that the mushrooms that they sprout look just like common mushrooms unless you do a genetic test, so most people are unaware. The Walker forms only last a few hours, at which time they collapse into fungal material and grow groups or rings of mushrooms on the spot. Though they don't have any true senses, they are able to detect light and attempt to avoid it using large dark spots on their "heads." This is why they tend not to wander into well-lit areas. They tend to travel in pairs or small groups because they will grow together in small patches and some will inevitably head off together in similar directions.

"I would argue that it seems unusual that creatures from space would touch down just to take a leisurely stroll."

I'm not playing Devil's Advocate or anything but that is basically what we did on the Moon.

Fresno is my hometown and I remember when these guys were "seen". While I don't too much believe it, I do enjoy the weirdness it adds to our already weird town.

Fresno's one of my favourite cryptids. They look cute instead of being scary like other cryptids. Reminds me of parent and child bonding.

"Im not an alien so i cant say for sure"

Thats literally what an alien would say to avoid suspicions. Explains why you keep archiving human history.

As a 30+ who has lived nearly my whole life in Fresno the fact we got a cryptid when I graduated High school and I see comments of people being afraid of them as kids I am just cracking up right now.
Love the ridiculousness of our cryptids
