The head tails work much like regular tails: they’re used for balance. However, for the Twi Leks, the head tails also help with rhythmic movements, to even the most minute details. This caused them to have the most perfectly rhythmical cowgirl and reverse cowgirl style.

The moral of the story: George Lucas was a man of culture when designing the Twi’leks and also knows that much like Mass Effect fans, most Star Wars fans crave alien poon.

I always thought it would be an interesting idea that they stored their body fat in their head tails, and that's why they mostly had fit bodies. And that massively obese ones would be a sign of wealth as they could eat enough that their body starts creating body fat.

Twi leks and Togruta are some of the best looking humanoids. I also think the attraction was engineered by the creators too.

Twi'lek males have pointed ears
The rarest type of Twi'leks were black
Most Twi'leks who became Sith lords were the red ones while most Twi'leck Jedi were blue

They're not bad they are just drawn that way.

I remember reading a theory that Twi'lek skin is more heat absorbent than most species, so the campaign of Battlefront 2 saying the clones were trying to give Aayla Secura a merciful death may not have been contradictory to the film's clones mag dumping her.

In short, female Twileks are like the Vaporeon of the Star Wars universe

According to "The Old Republic" MMO, Twileks can interbreed with a lot of species, because their origin was the same. There was a rakatan machine that dealt with DNA let's say and they (Rakata) used the original dominant species of Tatooine to create lots of slave species, Humans, Twilek, Zabrak, etc. Not to mention the remnants of that same original species split and because the sand people and the Jawas.

Short answer: twileks are one of the few species that humans can interbreed with.

Hera Syndulla is the lead character in Star Wars: Rebels. She's hardly a "background character".

Twileks are comparable to the mail-order brides from developing countries in our world. Due to the poor economic conditions of Ryloth it was easier for wealthier species outside of Ryloth to have them as romantic-sexual partners with the promise of security. I would say Zeltrons and Hapans are actually more attractive than Twileks but because they come from wealthy worlds, they are not easily bought out like the Twileks.

Yes, friends, JJ Abrams and Ruin Johnson's worst transgression is the fact that we were denied a sequel trilogy with Darth Talon.

I must admit the Twileks are beautiful but the sith ones are damn sexy especially rocking a Red Saber or two

I for some reason have never noticed until now that the Twi-lek at 11:15 has multiple brief nipple slips.

I think I read that Senator Taa(I don't know if that's how you spell his name, the Twi'lek with 4 Lek'ku, does not actually have 4. He has 2 regular Lek'ku, and the "other" 2 are actually masses of fat. He wears the 2 "extra" proudly as a way to show his wealth and status.

I can understand why people are very interested in the appearance of the Twi'lek but I would argue that the appearance of the Chiss is even more interesting with their different skin colors of shades of blue with red eyes, very similar to human eyes.

As a note, the Rhylothian term is just for the Twi'leks born on Rhyloth (Or largely living there), often used by Twi'leks born/raised that weren't and aren't connected there. There were a few other planets and colonies that were inhabited by them that developed separately

Kind of hard to buy into the lore of the Lekku being used in communication since they never bothered to show them move on their own.
If anything the movies and shows that depicted Twi'lek at best had Lekku that moved at least somewhat naturally and at worst were just stiff prosthetics.
I know it's asking much of the makeup department but when games like SWTOR and digital shows like Rebels and Clone Wars don't bother showing that stuff at all I just don't buy it.
